Yes
While you may proceed with your application, we encourage you to seek out the assistance of your advisors and mentors, as well as to utilize resources such as the University Writing Center. You are also welcome to seek the assistance of The Graduate College’s external funding coordinators in the review of your application materials, so long as you meet the timelines specified in our Appointment Policy.

If university approval is required, carefully review the University Policy and Procedure Statement on Applying for Sponsored Programs (Graduate Students), which provides guidelines for graduate students who are developing and submitting proposals to support their own studies and research. Then, proceed to Step 4 on the First Steps page.
