2024 Graduate Student Research Conference

The Graduate College at Texas State University hosted the 15th annual Graduate Student Research Conference (GSRC) at the San Marcos Campus on April 2, 2024 and at the Round Rock Campus on April 3, 2024, during Graduate Student Appreciation Week. 

Over 100 graduate students from various disciplines at Texas State University presented original research findings and other projects through poster presentations.

The conference opened on April 2, 2024, with welcome remarks from Dr. Andrea Golato, Dean of The Graduate College. A panel of award-winning and student-supportive faculty spoke on the following topic: 125 Years and Looking Ahead: The Future of Graduate Student Research.The panel was moderated by then Graduate House leader, Francisco Valdovinos, a graduate student in the M.A. Political Science program.

The panelists included:

              Dr. Elaine Chu, Assistant Professor, Anthropology

              Dr. Melissa Martinez, Professor, Educational and Community Leadership

              Dr. Randall Osborne, Professor, Psychology

At the GSRC held on the Round Rock campus, Vice President Julie Lessiter and Dean Andrea Golato provided welcome remarks about the importance of graduate student research and exciting innovations happening at the Round Rock campus. 


The Graduate College thanks the faculty members who served as faculty respondents, as well as those who supported the graduate students in their research.
